We have developed a Tabi-style model as a new version of the PS-01 Pile Strong Socks, which are trending on social media in Japan. It will be launched overseas first, ahead of its release in Japan.
【Toes】Tabi-style toe with pile fabric
The main functional feature is the tabi-style design for the toes. The big toe is separated, allowing for better grip and more efficient use of muscles. The toe area is made with pile fabric, providing added protection.
【Arch lift support】
The arch area uses elastic knitting, providing 20% more arch lift compared to previous models, helping to reduce foot fatigue.
【Thick pile fabric (for added protection)】
The toes and heels, which bear weight during exercise, are knitted with high-density pile to maximize cushioning and abrasion resistance. Abrasion resistance tests have confirmed durability exceeding 10,000 cycles.
【Breathable mesh structure】
The instep, which does not bear weight, is designed with a mesh ventilation system for breathability.
【Pile mesh structure】
A ventilation system designed to actively expel sweat from the soles has been placed along the arch. This is not just a simple mesh structure; two areas feature a “pile mesh structure” that provides cushioning while maintaining breathability.

【1.5 Times Deeper Heel & L-Shaped Heel】
The heel features a wide-heel design, knitted 1.5 times deeper than previous models, to securely wrap around the heel and prevent slipping. The L-shaped design ensures no sagging of fabric on the instep when worn.
Optimal Compression with a Tapered Shape & Ribbed Calf Section
Elastic is ergonomically inserted in a tapered shape to match the natural contour of the calf. It holds the ankle firmly while the top opening stretches well, making it easy to put on and comfortable to wear. The compression level is based on research by Dr. Toshiyuki Tsujisaka of the Nara Prefecture Industrial Promotion Center, achieving optimal pressure for comfort when worn. In addition, the ribbed design is 50% thicker than previous models, allowing it to naturally conform to the leg and prevent slipping.
Outer Yarn
For the outer yarn, we used “Chao,” a 32-count single yarn made of 65% cotton and 35% polyester, chosen for its sweat absorption, quick-drying properties, abrasion resistance, and durability against washing.
Inner Yarn
For the inner yarn, we selected “Purelon,” which combines deodorizing polyurethane Lycra® freshFX fiber with silver-ion-infused polyester Bacteria Buster®. This comfortable material provides strong deodorizing, antibacterial, and anti-odor effects that last.
Toe and Heel Sections
To make the most of the approximately 200 ml of sweat produced by your feet each day, we’ve incorporated moisture-absorbing and heat-generating yarn into the toe and heel areas.
This special functional fiber works like it’s “breathing”—absorbing moisture (sweat), generating heat, and then releasing it. This cycle helps reduce stuffiness and provides a warm yet dry and comfortable feel.
The product has passed quality inspections conducted by an independent third-party organization.
The inspection was conducted by the Japan Textile Products Quality and Technology Center (QTEC) based on QTEC quality standards. The testing items included light resistance, washing resistance, sweat resistance (acid and alkaline), abrasion resistance, color fastness, and formaldehyde testing. The product passed all test items.
What is Formaldehyde?
Formaldehyde is a chemical substance known to be harmful to humans, and testing is mandatory for products intended for infants. Considering skin health, we carried out thorough testing, and the product passed successfully.

A Design Scientifically Developed Based on the Shape of the Sole
To further enhance the functionality of each part, this product is designed to match the sole shape of each foot, not just the big toe. Please wear them according to the markings on the instep: R (right foot) and L (left foot).
Unique Plied Yarn Design with Different Patterns
By knitting with three strands of slightly different shades of the same color, each sock naturally forms a unique heathered pattern. Even the left and right socks have subtly different tones, creating an original color variation born from chance.
The socks come in three colors: olive green, navy, and charcoal gray. These colors are inspired by the camouflage uniforms of Japan’s Self-Defense Forces: the Ground, Maritime, and Air Self-Defense Forces.
We created them with the hope that the whole family can enjoy wearing them.
The color of the binding yarn on the inside of the cuff is different for each size, making it easy to distinguish them. This is especially convenient when washing multiple pairs of the same color in different sizes for family use. Thank you for checking.
