Have you ever heard of an event called the Victory Show?
The Victory Show is one of Japan’s largest military-themed events, featuring vendors selling military goods, airsoft guns, and a wide range of other military-related products.
This time, our staff visited the Victory Show in Hamamatsucho, a location where visitors can enjoy refreshing bay breezes and panoramic views of the Rainbow Bridge and Odaiba.
In this report, we’ll take you inside the event and share our impressions of walking around the venue while wearing GUTS-MAN socks.

This edition of the Victory Show was held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Trade Center Hamamatsucho Hall, conveniently located just a five-minute walk from the North Exit of JR and Tokyo Monorail Hamamatsucho Station, and about a two-minute walk from Yurikamome Takeshiba Station.
The venue is a smart building that utilizes cutting-edge digital technologies such as AI and IoT. It is also home to companies affiliated with SoftBank Corp., a name familiar to many through its telecommunications services. Upon entering the building, we immediately noticed features such as cleaning robots and digital displays showing real-time restroom availability, offering a glimpse into the possibilities of modern smart-building technology.

As we took the elevator to the third and fourth floors where the event was being held, we began to see more visitors dressed in camouflage clothing and dark green military-style uniforms. At the entrance stood a Betty Boop figure in a green uniform, greeting attendees with a salute. Stepping inside, we were instantly immersed in the event’s unique atmosphere.

This year’s event marked the 111th Victory Show. One of the show's defining features is that it welcomes not only manufacturers and businesses, but also individual collectors, enthusiasts, and hobbyists as exhibitors. Many vendors offer special event-only discounts, making it an exciting opportunity for attendees to discover rare items and exclusive deals. As one of Japan’s largest marketplaces for military gear, airsoft guns, and survival equipment, the Victory Show also serves as a vibrant gathering place where enthusiasts can connect, exchange knowledge, and celebrate their shared interests.
----------------------------------------------------

Our first stop was a booth on the third floor specializing in patches and camouflage-patterned goods. Taking a closer look, we found practical items that could easily be used in airsoft games, including radios and helmets. The patches themselves featured a wide variety of designs, from the American flag to creative reinterpretations of Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji.

As we explored further, we noticed that many exhibitors were selling patches. After doing a bit of research, we learned that patch customization is deeply rooted in military culture, where patches are used to indicate a unit, rank, or affiliation. Several vendors even offered authentic-looking patches with visible signs of wear, giving them the appearance of having seen real-world use.

Walking through the venue, we also came across a popular photo spot. Visitors could try on military uniforms from a clothing rack and have their photo taken for 500 yen. Nearby, representatives from Japan’s Ministry of Defense and the Japan Self-Defense Forces were present, offering recruitment information and displaying camouflage uniforms.

Our next stop featured a variety of aviation-themed merchandise, including metal tags, hand towels, and fabric banners inspired by aircraft and military insignias. Metal tags and hand towels were priced at 1,000 yen each, while the fabric banners sold for 3,000 yen.

As we continued browsing, we discovered several booths selling model guns. Many of the items were priced in the tens of thousands of yen, and some vendors even offered compact automatic-pistol replicas with functioning slides, triggers, and removable magazines. One exhibitor, Kumakuma Workshop, specializes in reproducing rare Japanese handguns that are poorly documented and difficult to find, transforming these historical firearms into highly detailed model guns.

At the center of the venue, visitors gathered around a hands-on attraction featuring the Fast Gun. This laser-tag-style system uses invisible infrared or laser beams instead of physical ammunition. Games started at just 200 yen per round, and several attendees were enthusiastically testing their skills.

Although much of the merchandise catered to a predominantly male audience, there were also booths offering products designed with women in mind. One standout exhibitor was Rindo Silver Accessories, where every piece is handcrafted—from the initial design to the final finishing touches. The collection included both colorful gemstone jewelry and military-inspired accessories. What impressed us most was how the military motifs were incorporated into stylish, elegant designs that could easily be worn as everyday fashion.

After spending time exploring the event, one thing became clear: the Victory Show attracts passionate enthusiasts, and it is this community of dedicated fans that inspires new ideas, unique products, and creative innovations. Interestingly, we did not find a single booth selling socks. By the end of the day, our staff came away with one strong conclusion: GUTS-MAN would be a perfect fit for the Victory Show, and we would love to see the brand exhibiting there in the future.

Now that we've taken a look at the 111th Victory Show, let's turn our attention to the season itself.
The rainy season has arrived in Tokyo, and with warmer temperatures settling in, many people are finding themselves heading outdoors in short sleeves more often than before. Whether you're attending hobby events, exploring the city, or spending time at outdoor gatherings, summer is the perfect season to get out and stay active.
For the season ahead, we recommend GUTS-MAN's "【RUN】Running Five Toe Socks"
Originally developed for runners, these socks were designed with performance and comfort in mind. During the Victory Show, our staff actually wore them and walked around the venue for about an hour, putting them to the test in a real-world setting.
Although they are primarily designed as running socks, they proved to be just as comfortable for everyday use. The fit was stable and supportive, even during extended walking, making them a reliable choice for long hours on your feet.
Another notable feature is the shorter length, which makes them especially suitable for the humid and increasingly hot conditions of the rainy season. They help reduce stuffiness and keep your feet feeling light, even when the weather turns sticky.
With your feet supported by GUTS-MAN short-length socks, you're ready for whatever the rainy season brings.
